Introduction
Maîtres works to ensure your privacy. The purpose of the privacy policy is to inform you about how we process your personal data. This privacy policy may be updated and you will find the latest version of the privacy policy in our app.
If we make any major changes to this Privacy Policy, we will send out a notice.
Scope
This privacy policy applies to the personal information we collect about you in connection with your membership, your purchases, when visiting one of our restaurants or through other contact with us. Please note that the privacy policy does not apply to personal information you provide to any of our partners (e.g. you have clicked on a link to any of our partners). Maîtres takes no responsibility for the personal data processing performed by our partners.
Who is responsible for your personal information?
Maîtres AB, org. no. 559059-6879, Birger Jarlsgatan 37 is responsible in accordance with current personal data legislation (including the general data protection regulation (EU) 2016/679), for the personal data you have provided to us. All information that you provide to "we", "us" or "our" is to Maîtres.
What personal information do we collect, and how do we use it?
We collect and save the personal information you provide to us when registering your membership, when visiting affiliated restaurants and when contacting our customer service. When contacting our customer service, we save the information you provide to us so that we can handle your case.
We might collect the following entities you share:
full name
e-mail
mobile phone number
phonebook
payment method
usage history
Use of your name and e-mail
We use your full name and e-mail to build and send you receipts after the restaurant visit. Also, your name might be used to inform restaurant staff about your future booking.
Use of your phone number
We might use your phone number to send you a reminder SMS for your upcoming booking.
Use of phonebook
We use your phonebook in two scenarios:
when you want to invite a friend to the app and reclaim your invitation bonus
when you want to share your bill with someone from your contact list
If you allow Maitres to access your contacts, the app will sync the phonebook periodically.
We use your information for the purposes and based on the legal basis set out below.

To be able to manage your membership in Maîtres and give you a personal experience
… based on our agreement with you. The usage is necessary for us to be able to fulfil our contractual obligations to you.

To be able to handle customer service matters
… based on our legitimate interest in us being able to assist you in inquiries about our services (customer service matters), on a legal obligation (complaints) and on our agreement with you (guarantees).
C.
To be able to send general offers via e-mail, text message or social media
… based on our legitimate interest in being able to offer existing customers offers for new products and promotions. If you no longer want offers from us, you can always unsubscribe from our mailings or choose to stop following us or block us from social media.
D.
To be able to send personalised offers in restaurant and lifestyle
… based on your prior consent. If you no longer want personal offers from us, you can always unsubscribe from our mailings or choose to stop following us or block us from social media.
E.
To be able to manage your participation in competitions and events
… based on our legitimate interest. In this case, your information is needed so that we can have the opportunity to administer or follow up our competitions and events and provide information about winners. If there are special competition conditions, we base the processing in the agreement with you.
F.
To be able to make improvements to technical functionality, services and products
… based on our legitimate interest in being able to make updates to the technology that enables you to visit our website or use our mobile app. As well as to enhance the customer experience by improving existing and developing new services and products.

To be able to prevent abuse
… based on our legitimate interest in providing secure services that may prevent attempts to gain unauthorised access or unauthorised use of our services.
How we create and use customer profiles
In general, we use analyses of our customer's purchases and behaviours at group level. This is to be able to improve technical functionality, services and products
If we create customer profiles on an individual level, i.e. that we analyse purchase history and how you use our services, we do so to be able to understand your needs and provide the best experience of Maîtres.
How we share your information
We will share your information within affiliated restaurants. See the list of current affiliated restaurants in the Maîtres app. (Link)
The information will then be used for the same purpose for which it was collected.
Storage
In general, we store your information for as long as the information is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which the information was collected. The information can also be saved for the time required by applicable law. We have ongoing routines that ensure that we do not store unnecessary information about you.
Membership information
If you are a member, we collect personal data, in the form of address updates, from the National Population Register. We do this to ensure that we have your latest address information and thereby make it easier for you as a member.
We save your information as long as you choose to be a member of Maîtres. If you choose to terminate your membership, we will delete your personal information, except for information that is necessary to fulfil purposes A, B, E, F and G under point 4.
We will also delete your personal data in accordance with the second paragraph of this section under this section if you have not used our service in the last 12 months, and you must then apply for a new membership if desired.
Your rights
We strive to be open about how we process your data. If you want to gain insight into the personal data processing that we do in relation to you, you have the right to request access to your data. If we receive a request for access, we may ask for additional information to ensure that we disclose the information to the right person. You also always have the right to request that your personal information be corrected.
If you believe that your personal data is being processed in violation of applicable law, you also have the right to request that the data be deleted or restricted. You also have the right to object to our processing (e.g. the processing based on our legitimate interests) or to request that the information you have provided to us be transferred to another personal data controller (so-called data porting).
Your personal data may not be processed for direct marketing if you object to such processing. You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. In that case, we will not use your information for purposes based on your consent. You of course have the right to withdraw your consent in relation to certain purposes, e.g. you can choose to only receive communication from us via the app but not email.
If you wish to withdraw your consent, you are welcome to contact our customer service (see contact information under item 11).
If you believe that we handle your personal data incorrectly, you also have the right to submit your complaint to the Data Inspectorate.
Transfer of personal data
We do not transfer data outside the EU or European Economic Cooperation (EEA).
